The funny thing is...
I have found that I actually take LESS pictures now that I have my fun camera. It's just not quite as convenient as the old. I can't hardly throw it in my purse or in my coat pocket, so it often times misses out on the random trips. However, these are the times I need it the most. That being said, I need to invest in a fun, fashionable camera bag. I have a sling bag that I love..but it's plain and black. So if you know of any great designers of fun, fashionable camera bags..please send them my way. And from now on, I will be posting at least a photo a day..this is my mission.
I don't get it
Can someone please explain to me why you would pay $26.05 for a $25 applebees gift card on Ebay? I just don't get it. I suppose it saves you from driving to applebees and going into the restaurant to purchase the card, but you can even get these cards at any local store now...walmart, kroger, etc.. Like I said before (twice)...I just don't get it.

The Daly Grind..new and improved
My daily grind now consists of new and exciting things! I have launched my new website www.dalymoments.com and although it needs a few more tweaks, the basics are there. I have 4 photo shoots lined up on Sunday at a pumpkin patch and I am pretty excited about it. My new camera is constantly calling my name!! All I want to do is take pictures! I have purchased a few backdrops and I am looking for cool props. So if you see any cool old chairs, old trunks or anything of the like...give me a shout, will ya? Do you know any newly engaged couples? I need some photos for my portfolio and Im offering a free shoot! Please send everyone my way and make sure to check out the photos from the insane asylum!

Does anyone read this thing?
Well, if you do..please check out my newest (and hopefully successful) venture at www.myspace.com/dalymoments . Let me know what you think!
It's a hard knock life, part deux.
My kids love the Annie soundtrack, specifically *It's a hard knock life, for us!*. They sing it constantly and I think it is quite ironic, considering their life is far from *hard knocked*. Just recently, we were camping and spent the day at the beach. Keighan, Caleb and their cousin Kayla were in their bathing suits, filthy from a day of fun and eating multicolored snowcones....at the same time belting out *It's a hard knock life, for us! It's a hard knock life for us! Instead of treated, we get tricked, instead of kisses, we get kicked! It's a hard knock life!* I wish they knew what they were saying and could understand the irony of it all!
It's a hard knock life.
Caleb: Where's Daddy?
Me: At work
Caleb: How come you don't work?
Me: Whatever.

I'm on a roll...
This post is for those of you who shop Target regularly. By regularly, I mean at least once a week. I'm extra regular. So they now offer a Target debit card. You give them a blank check and they give you a card...it deducts the $ from your exisiting checking account just like your debit card. The advantages include cash rewards and extra coupons, etc. I think I'm most excited about having a *target card* in my wallet, ha!
A spoonful of sugar
The title has nothing to do with what Im about to say, but it's been stuck in my head...so there you have it. So anyways, as chatty as I am, I can't believe it takes me 4 months to post something here! And yet, here I am, with nothing to say, really. What's new around here?
Caleb is fully potty trained, even wears underwear to bed. That must feel so much better than those *papery* pullups! Now I just have to teach him to wipe his own rear end before school starts in the fall! Keighan begins dance classes tonight, I think she will love it. Our home renovations are coming along nicely....we should be done with the kitchen by Christmas, ha! We are spending Labor Day weekend in St Louis. We are going to visit Johns aunt mary jo and uncle lou. They have a full weekend for us...the zoo, museum, butterfly house and a few other things. It is Calebs first ride on an airplane. Keighan is a little worried that the airplane will fall down. I should have John convince her that we are safe because I share her worry and she can see right through me! We just spent a wonderful week at Higgins lake with the daly clan. I always enjoy their company and have more enlightening conversations in one week than I do in a year...really. So, that's it for now. I promise, the next post will be worth reading and it will have less commas, too.

Easter Pics
It's been a year since I've had the kids' pictures taken, believe it or not. I've come to learn that I'd rather have *natural* pics of the kids, but where in the world could I take them now?? In the summer, we have pics from the beach, in the winter we have pics in the snow, in the spring we have pics in puddles and in the fall we have pics in the leaves. My only option now is the ice rink in the backyard....not so pretty! The kids are naturals...they love getting their pics taken! I realize that their outfits do not match, please don't point it out to me. It was quite the dilemma. I had a cute little lime green polo shirt for Caleb to wear with his khakis. I always do barefoot pics. Well, then my friend Kristen had this cute little navy blue blazer and everyone insisted he get his pics taken in that, instead. Well, the khakis were too *casual* for the blazer so we had to go with cords, instead. But, you cant really go barefoot with cords...can ya? And I didn't have any white shoes for Keighan to wear since I was planning on barefoot pics. So that's why Keighan is dressed for 80 degrees and Caleb is dressed for 40 degrees. Dilemmas!

Is it Spring yet?
I am ready for winter to be over. Then again, I was never ready for it to begin. I am longing to open the windows and let the fresh air chase out all of the *bugs* in this house! Will we ever NOT be sick again?? Earaches, runny noses, coughs, fevers....please be gone!!!!!! Keighan asked tonight *When it gets warm again, can I blow my bubbles and ride my bike?*. I told her I can hardly wait.........

Moment(um)
This *blogging* stuff is addicting! Well, I decided to put together a little album of all my *creations* from the past few years...wedding invites, shower invites, Bday Cards, Cmas cards, marketing fliers, brochures, business cards, etc. In doing so, I thought it would be wise to create some marketing *stuff* of my own. So here are my rough drafts...a little *info* sheet and a business card. Constructive critism is welcomed!

In my spare time..(aka when I should be ironing, doing the dishes and dusting)
I have acquired a new hobby. It's mostly fun, but only when there is no pressure! Some may say I am obsessed...they are probably right. Anyhow...here is my new hobby...

P.S. I'm for hire.

Let's shoot for once a month.......
Almost a month since my last post....I suppose it's time for an update! Our home renovations are coming to an end! The kitchen is almost complete, just needs some finishing touches, a floor and a backsplash. I love all the space! John was literally still screwing the cabinets into the wall as I was filling them up! The difference is amazing!

I also decided to do some painting...our living room is now green and we finally have a comfortable couch that all 4 of us can sit on at the same time! It's the little things that excite me.
Caleb has decided he definitely wants to play hockey! We got all bundled up today and played on George and Jody's pond. Caleb told his daddy that he wants some hockey skates just like him. He did a pretty good job with the puck and stick, considering the stick was 3 times his size! Keighan was a trooper, but only lasted about 45 minutes in the cold. Caleb would have stayed out all day if it were his choice.......
