We'll start at the end!

Welcome to my new blog...as if I have nothing else to do! I suppose I will start my new blog with a wrap-up of '07. I started the year in a crappy mood, as I always do in January and cured myself with a fun trip to Great Wolf Lodge in February! The kids had a blast and we are turning it into an annual event...it's a great way to cure the winter blues!

I had my 30th Bday in March and John surprised me with an overnight trip to downtown Detroit on St Patty's Day. We met some friends for dinner at Fishbone's and spent the rest of the evening drinking Guiness at the Gaelic League with some authentic Irishmen singing the night away.

Then came April and Keighan turned 3!! She started preschool at St John's in Davison and loves it! She goes twice a week and her brother really enjoys his *mommy time* while Keighan is at school. She is learning so much...she can write many letters on her own...T, F, H, K, J, L, Y! Her favorite thing to play with this year has been Polly Pockets and she does a great job of keeping track of all the tiny little pieces. She loves anything creative and is following in her mother's footsteps with a new obsession of photography! She definitely lives up to the meaning of her name *Little Fiery One*!!

In May, we went camping with some friends in Houghton Lake and hope to do the same every year! We bought a popup camper last year and the kids seem to be natural campers! I went on a weekend *Mother's Day trip* to Traverse City with Carol, Grandma, Roberta, Shelley, Lisa, Kyndra, Sabrina, Ellery, Nicki and Jody. We spent most of the time shopping and had a great time!

John went on his annual canoe trip with the Gilbert clan in June and then went Aerial Carp Fishing in Peoria with some friends.

We spent a couple of weeks at Higgins Lake in July. We parked our popup in the yard at the cottage and it worked out pretty well! The kids spent hours upon hours down at the beach! Keighan was not afraid of the water and would walk out pretty far. Caleb's favorite thing to do was throw rocks! John did some sailing and skiing and I snuck some reading in! The weather was great this year and the company was even better!

The kids took swimming lessons in the fall, Keighan started school and we replaced our north living room window with a sliding glass door...it was busy busy busy! In October, Caleb turned 2!!! He is such a sweet little boy and talks up a storm!! He is an early riser and likes to wake me up between 5-6am! Thank goodness for coffee! He is a little farmer and loves anything to do with animals and tractors. His favorite channel is animal planet and he would watch it over cartoons any day! He is learning just about everything Keighan learns at school...she is a good teacher! Keighan chose to be *Belle* from Beauty and Beast for Halloween and Caleb was, of course, a Farmer!! We went trick or treating at Crossroads and at OkieDoke Grandma and Grandpa's. We made our rounds to visit Great Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt June and Hockey Grandpa, too.

John made a big change in November, he left Weinberger and went to work with Plexus Systems in Auburn Hills. At the moment, he shares an office with his best friend Dave and he is loving his new job!!! We spent Thanksgiving with the Daly's and stayed Flu-Free this holiday!! Yippee!! We started renovating our kitchen in November and look forward to the day it is done!!! Then on to the next project, ha!

We spent most of December working on the kitchen and getting ready for Christmas. We spent Christmas eve eve with Okie Dokes, Christmas Day with the Gilberts and celebrated with Hockey Grandpa a few days later. Keighan got more polly pockets, her very own camera, a Leapster and a gazillion more things. She has already mastered her video game!! Caleb got some animals, Tinker Toys, Lincoln Logs, a remote control truck that looks just like his Uncle Jimmy's, football players and a lot of movies. SPOILED! I decided that I should get into photography and took a lot of Christmas pictures of my friend's children and designed lots of Christmas cards. Maybe I should be a photographer when I grow up!

Well, my friends...that's all for now! It's 8am and the rest of the household should be waking up soon....3 and a half hours after Caleb and I did! TaTa for now.....
